This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I don't really have so much a guide as I do a couple of steps to get things working. I'm assuming your a really big newbie (which you may not be), so excuse me if these steps are super-duper basic. 1. You need yaourt (its like pacman, but it gets things from member-maintained repositories) so you can access AUR and install the right version of FVWM. 2. After this, you are going to need the fvwm-patched file by doing this: "yaourt -Sy fvwm-patched" (you shouldn't have to use root) to get the same version of FVWM I use. 3. Once installed, you can download my Elysium configuration and put it into your ~/.fvwm folder. 4. In order to load FVWM your session, you need to put 'exec fvwm' into the ~/.xinitrc file and comment the other stuff out with a #.
I may be forgetting some steps in the middle there so if you have any questions or are confused about anything, just ask me and I'll help you clear it up .
Well, modifying the icons is super easy, just go into the files, and replace the icons that you wish to replace (then you will have to refresh your icon theme to see the change).
The global menu is very easy to install now, just follow the steps on there google code page. It seems difficult but it really is not. Good luck
